Cocamidopropyl Betaine
Cocamidopropyl betaine (CAPB) is an amphoteric surfactant used in cleansing products. Its contact-allergy literature comes largely from selected patch-test patients and does not establish population prevalence or overall cleanser mildness.
Salicylic Acid
Salicylic acid appears in both cosmetic exfoliants and U.S. over-the-counter acne drugs. Its concentration, product category, label directions, vehicle, and tolerability determine what can reasonably be expected.
Zinc Oxide
Zinc oxide is an inorganic sunscreen active that protects mainly by absorbing ultraviolet radiation. Broad-spectrum performance, SPF, wear, visibility, and tolerability belong to the tested finished product—not the ingredient name alone.
